Ambulance and Rescue Association

The following is a copy of the minutes of the April meeting. Only the bound book of minutes is to be the legal minutes of this meeting.

April 23, 2003

The meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association was called to order at 19:40 Hr. by President Bill Hollstrom. The meeting was held at the East Greenwich Ambulance hall.

The meeting was suspended for a presentation by The Gloucester County Health Dept. concerning Smallpox Vaccination- Who should get them and when.

The meeting was reconvened with the following:

  • 13 Squads attending.
  • Minutes of the previous meeting were approved with the following correction; change HICVA to HIPAA. Glassboro made motion to accept with Paulsboro making the second to motion.
  • Treasures Report
    • Checking- $2229.02
    • $2000.00 was transferred to start a new checking account.
    • Total $4229.02
    • CD’s $5332.05
  • Correspondence
  • Logan EMS- Question the description of general divert and full divert for PA. Hospital. County communication gives status as received from facility.
  • Committees
    • EMS council- No meeting
    • EMT training- EMT core 13 at Gloucester County fire Grounds June 19-22
    • PHTLS at Gibbstown Fire house May 16-18
    • Advisory Board
      • Gloucester County is seeking Camden county 500 Meg.. Freqs. that they have abandoned.
      • G.C. Fire academy working on procuring additional training props.
      • Homeland security funds will be distributed in ratio to the number of first responders in the area. Haz. Mat funds will only be given to those area that already have organized response units.
  • Old business
    • A representative of HIPAA will be at next months meeting.
    • Free computers for Volunteer squads are available through the state. Dead line is April 30, 2003.
  • New business
    • Minutes of the meetings of this organization will be posted on the Organizations web site- motion by E.Greenwhich; Second by Glassboro.
    • Ambulance and rescue task force information was made available at the meeting.
  • Good of the Assoc.
    1. UMH- ER upgrades to be finished by mid 2005. EMS appreciation breakfast to be Wed. morning MAY 21.
    2. Elmer Hosp. NO REPORT
    3. KMH- May 20, EMS week dinner
  • E.Greenwhich made motion to adjourn at 21.10. Second by Mantua Twp.
