The following is a copy of the May 28, 2003 meeting minutes. Only the bound book copy of these minutes is to be considered the legal minutes of this meeting.

The Gloucester County Ambulance Assoc. was called to order by president Bill Holmstrom at 19:35 Hrs. at Ferrell Fire Co.

Roll call - 15 squads were in attendance.

  • Minutes of the April 23, 2003 meeting were read with Gibbstown making a motion to accept as read, second by Mantua Twp.

    • Checking - $2229.42
    • New checking - $1983.28
    • C. D.s - $5319.40
  • Correspondence - None
  • Mr. Ted Baumhogger from Pre-Hospital Management Systems presented and overview of HIPAA regulations.
  • Reports
    • EMS council
      • EMS trailer is in being stored at Deptford.
      • Safety of operating equipment is top concern of all squads.
      • EMS funding to county for Homeland Security is $75,000.00.  A decontamination trailer is proposed for the county.
    • UMH
      • Renovation project is under way - ER construction is expected to start in the fall.
    • General
      • ICS training is needed for all operating squads
    • EMT training
      • EMT summer course in July
    • Advisory Board
      • Looking at a communication system that can patch several different frequencies together to operate as one.
  • Unfinished Business
    • The date to apply for state funded computers was extended to May 30
  • New business
    • Glassboro made a motion to have H.A. Hieghtman present a mass casualty class.
    • S. Harrison made a motion to advance $1000.00 for supplies for the EMS trailer with a letter of need for any additional monies, second by Gibbstown.
