The following is a condensed version of the Oct. 22, 2003 minutes of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association. Only the bound version of the minutes is to be considered the legal document of these minutes.
The meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association was called to order at 19:45 hrs. by Pres. Bill Holmstrom.
  • The minutes which are posted on the web site were approved . Motion by Woodbury Heights and second by Gibbstown.
  • There were 12 squads in attendance.

    • EMS council
      • Mass casualty trailer is still acquiring equipment.
      • County wide I.D. photos for Police, Fire, and Ambulance will be available in the near future
    • EMT Training
      • " H.A. Hieghtman training set for April 17& 18 2004 at Volaro.
    • Advisory Council
      • The county Decon trailers (2) will be housed at Woodbury and Washington Twp. for close proximity to hospitals.
      • Nextel will be a secondary communication with county center.
      • Fire Academy received a $918,000 grant.
      • EMS task force staging areas were discussed.
  • Old business
    • An emergency notification roster has been made up, check to see if all information is correct for your squad.
    • Nominations; Pres. Bill Holmstrom, V. Pres, Ken Wildermuth, Sec. Shirley Zane, Treasurer, Herb Godfrey. Trustees, Kevin Nolan, Russ Trumble, Bob Greco. Mantua Twp. made a motion to close nominations, second by Center City.
    • A discussion was had about the dispatching of life threat calls if a squad does not answer after the first five minutes. Each squad will receive a copy of the proposed changes. A special meeting will be held Nov. 12, 2003 to accept or reject the proposal to go to County for incorporation into the year end changes.
  • New business
    • Flu shot list available.
    • UMH- Prep work for changes to ER beginning in mid Jan. Two year completion date.
    • KMH- Looking for new nurse manager.

  • A special meeting to be held Nov. 12, 2003 at Woodbury Heights
  • Next regular meeting to be held Dec. 10, 2003 at Center City.
