The following is a condensed version of the Feb. meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association. Only the bound version of the minutes is to be considered the legal version of these minutes.

 

The meeting was called to order by President Bill Holmstrom at 19:40 Hrs. at the Gloucester County Communications Center. Lou Iocona welcomed us.
  • Minutes of the January meeting were accepted as posted on the web site.
  • Seventeen squads were in attendance.
  • Treasurers Report
    • No report due to no statement being available
  • Correspondence
    • Delegate lists and applications for M.C.I. course received
  • Reports
    • Training
      • M.C.I. course is set. There is room for 60 students.
      • Squads report that they have more members than escape hoods supplied. Number of hoods allocated was based on the number of EMTs. On record, more hoods will be provided.
    • EMT - None
    • Communications Advisory Board
      • Review of funding secured by the County.  Gloucester is one of four counties that have applied for the second round of funds.
    • First Aid Council
      • Area Mobilization coordinator can call non F.A.C. squads in an emergency.
      • Monroe will hold a disaster drill in mid-summer.
  • Trustees - No Report
  • Unfinished Business
    • County I.D. cards are in progress
    • Valero Refinery will pay for course scheduled for April 17-18.  All course fees will go to GCARA treasury.
  • New business - None
  • Good of the Order
    • Ann Frazier is Kennedy's new Nurse Manager. She is working on improving customer relations and using staff more efficiently. Equipment storage to be revamped. One tech. will be assigned to equipment cleaning.
    • UMH has encountered construction delays.
  • Meeting adjourned at 20:05 Hrs.
  • The next meeting will be at Kennedy Hospital March 24th. Third floor classrooms use front entrance.
