The following is a copy of the minutes of the May 24, 2006
meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue
Association. Only the bound book copy of these minutes is
considered to be the legal minutes of this meeting. |

The meeting was called to order at 19:35 hrs by President Bill
Holmstrom.
Roll call - 14 squads were in attendance
- Minutes - Minutes of the April meeting were approved. Motion
by Center City and second by Woodbury Heights.

Treasurers Report
- Checking $6,815.02
- Bills - None

- Reports
- EMS council
- UMH ER will be opening new ER traffic patterns for
ambulances.
- Fast track services will be relocotated.
- County drill will be 10/16/06.
- Psychiatric guide lines for police are in place with training
now taking place.
- Radio advisory board - No report
- EMS task force - No Report

- Training
- To comply with NIMS some counties are changing wording for
some designation of equipment and response. Squads will be called
BLS units. Life support units will be called ALS units.
Helicopter landing sites will become heliports.
- Core classes will be held June 1,2,3,&4 at Station 21
Gibbstown, and June 22, 23, 24, &25 at the Fire Academy.
- I-200 will be held June 7&8 at the Fire Academy.

- Unfinished Business
- An E-mail was sent to Best Friends requesting 48 sets of
animal resuscitation mask.
- Letter to Vurtua Marlton expressing concern about ability to
enter there ER.

- New Business
- Soft plastic seal rings on O2 bottles are meant for one time
use, the ones with the rubber centers are for multiple use.

- UMH ER parking crowded with transport ambulances at
entrance.
- KMHW- Mary McCormick is new Nurse manager
- Cooper - concern about hosp. returning uncleaned
equipment.
