The following is a copy of the minutes of the May 23, 2007 meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Ass.    Only the bound book copy of these minutes shall be considered the legal minutes of this meeting.

 

The meeting was called to order at 19:40 hrs. by president Bill Holmstrom.
There were 12 squads in attendance.   
  • Minutes - Woodbury Heights made a motion to accept the minutes as posted on the web site and second Mantua Twp.
  • Treasurers Report
    • CD’s -  NA
    • Checking -  $6471.83
    Woodbury Hieghts made a motion to accept the treasurers report and second by Mantua Twp

    • Bylaws - Nothing

    • EMS council - June 3 meeting

    • Radio advisory - No meeting

    • Trustees - Nothing

    • EMS Taskforce - Gloucester County EMS Mass Casualty Response Plan Standard operating Guidelines report was completed and accepted with recommendation to update minor wording to comply with NIMS.   Motion by Pitman to accept and second by Wenonah.

    • EMS regionalization - The Board of Chosen Freeholders has sent packets out to each municipality and squad captains.  

       

      After a long discussion Harrison Twp. made a motion to have summer meetings to keep informed of regionalization information, second by Ferrell.  

       

      First phase of operations is supposed to start Sept. 30, 2007.  

       

      Bob Diaz has agreed to post online comments, questions and concerns about regionalization of services in Gloucester County.   A link will be available through the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association web site.   None of the opinions or information is the official position of the GCARA.   Send all information to ems@digbysystems.com.

      • EMT - June 18 start of summer Class at Riverwinds.
      • EMT - June 21-24 Core class at Washington Twp
  • Unfinished Business
    • Still waiting on info from a Doctor about medical control on the epi-pen.
  • New Business
    • LS-5 now responding in an ambulance and can transport if life threat if a local squad is not responding.
  • Good of the Order
    • UMH - Waiting for OK from state for use of Temporary ER entrance.
    • KMH - Note that it has been observed that they are not keeping radio loud enough hear and answer all radio calls. Equipment not be cleaned in all incidents.
    • Cooper - Equipment going to Cooper lacking enough info to get returned to squads, squad name and number should be the minimum, Zip code recommended to be on equipment.

    • June 27, 2007 - Riverwinds
    • July 25, 2007 - Harrison Twp.
    • August 22, 2007 - Washington Twp.
