Ambulance and Rescue Association

 
The following is a copy of the minutes of the September 26, 2007 meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association.    Only the bound book copy of these minutes shall be considered the legal minutes of this meeting.

 

The meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association was called to order at 19:35 hrs. by President Bill Holmstrom.

  

Roll call - 11 squads were in attendance.  
  • Minutes of the May meeting were approved as posted on the web site with a motion by Paulsboro squad and second by Mantua Twp.

     

    No minutes were submitted or posted for the two meetings that contained information only about the county regionalization of EMS services
  • Treasurers Report
    • CD’s -  $1,845.77
    • Checking -  $6,475.89

    Motion to accept treasurer’s report by Paulsboro and second by Washington Twp.

     

  • Correspondence: None
  • Committee Reports

       

    • Bylaws - A committee is needed to review and update the bylaws for the changes due to change in squads

      •  

    • EMS Council - No Meeting

      •  

    • EMS Task Force - No Report

      •  

    • EMS Regionalization - See attached report

      •  

    • Radio advisory - Need for towns to review and do away with duplicate names of streets that may still exist or being introduced in new developments.  Hopefully squads would be able to have input on new constructs street names.

      •  

    • Training - EMT class 53 students.  Monroe Twp having classes contact Monroe Twp for available classes.
  • Unfinished Business
    • Epi-pens, County Medical director to be Dr. Victor Heresniack.
  • New Business
    • Need nominating committee for 2008 officers
    • New EMT cards with new ID numbers are mailed out . If you don’t have yours by 10-01 contact OEMS NJ.
    • Reminder to all BLS squads pertaining to ALS dispatch, no change to existing policies.
    • Recent Survey putting NJ EMS system in “Near Crisis” with a 172 page report on OEMS web site with recommendations.
    • Question how and if we as an organization will exist in the future. Please send comments and suggestions to President Bill Holmstrom.
  • Good of the Order
    • UMH - UMH - New ambulance entrance under contruction
    • KMH - Working on becoming certified stroke center
  • Adjournment - motion by Woodbury hgts. and second by Washington twp.   Next meeting to be at Deptford ESU on October 24.
