The following is a copy of the minutes of the January 23, 2008 meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association. Only the bound book copy shall be considered the legal minutes of this meeting.

The meeting was called to order by President Bill Holmstrom at 19:35 hrs at the Wenonah Fire Co. Greeting by representative Maggie Striebel of the Wenonah ambulance followed by a pledge to the American Flag.
- Minutes - The minutes of the December meeting were accepted as posted on the web site.

- Treasurers Report
- A motion to accept the treasurers report, motion by Gibbstown and second by Washington Twp

- Committee Reports
- EMS Council: No Report
- Communications advisory board- Tom Butts reports:
- Monroe P.D. has joined the county system. Gibbstown tentatively to join April 1.
- The center may secure a channel from Mantua P.D. and create a new police zone.
- Roam secure to start up in Philadelphia.
- County EMS progressing. Under pressure, smaller towns could join shortly. Larger towns would require assignment shuffling.
- Dennis Kappler appointed Fire Coordinator for the county.
- Fire Marshals office started operation "save a life" to provide smoke detectors to the special needs community.
- New foam unit in Colonial Manor.
- A nine bay pole barn to be built at Communications center with two bays for EMS.
- County was asked to expedite alternative dispatch site at Shady Lane.
- County OEM working with Philadelphia on evacuation plan; with Camden, Cumberland and Salem on pre disaster mitigation grant.
- OEM considering single county EOP and eliminating local EOP's
- Telephone system to be upgraded at user's expense to help ease problems. (Red Phone?)
- County Web site being updated.
- Cad System to have mapping updated and AVL for all county vehicles.
- Biometric polar Readers added to control center access, Grant proposals in process.
- Ambulance/Rescue: No Report
- OEM: No report
- Fire Chiefs:
- Chief Hubbs requested that their fire police operate on Channel-13 to ease traffic on channel 3.
- General public: No report
- EMS Task Force:
- Question of what changes would be required?
- Even with county ambulance system support the task force size will be reduced
- EMS Regionalization:
- Woodbury Heights- not joining
- Newfield- No
- Franklin Twp. - unknown
- S. Harrison- unknown
- (Reported after the meeting, Gibbstown may join in April)
- Training:
- Classes now going on in Gloucester and Salem Counties.
- Salem has made worthwhile upgrades.

- Unfinished Business
- No response from seven squads on weather they will continue operations.

- New Business
- All EMS courses must be reapproved this year regardless of previous years approval.

- Multiple changes and updates still being worked on. To be posted on the web site and asking for input from members
