The following is a copy of the minutes of the June 18, 2008 meeting of the Gloucester County Ambulance and Rescue Association.  Only the bound book copy of these minutes shall be considered the legal minutes of this meeting.

 

President Bill Holmstrom called the meeting of the GCRA to order at 19:40 hrs. at Unity Ambulance, South Harrison.  

 

Moment of silence in respect for Charles Hausmen, he served with 28-2 and the dispatch center.

  • Attendance - 5 squads were in attendance
  • Minutes - Minutes of the previous meeting, April 23, were posted on the web site, a motion to accept as posted was made by S. Harrison and second by Ferrell.
  • Treasurers Report
    • Checking -$1,926.22
    • C.D's - $6,315.94 Motion to renew CD at 3 or 6 month's which ever is higher interest.
    • Bills - $72.02 for postage and envelopes to mail information squads. Approved.
  • Correspondence
    • Letter sent to Gibbstown and National Park about resigning from GCARA.
    • A letter from Andy Lovell about coverage of the Woolwich-Swedesboro-Logan Twp. area. Andy stated that the County Ambulance will be able to cover the area without any response problems
  • Committee Reports
    • By-laws - Bylaws- nothing
    • EMS Council - UMH ambulance entrance changes may be complete by Dec.
    • Radio Advisory - No report
    • Trustees - No report
    • EMS Taskforce- Updates will take place to remove Station 8-9 National Park from the task force.
    • EMS Regionalization
      • National Park, Gibbstown and Woodbury have joined the county system effective Jan. 2009
      • John Feltes said county units are in place and in service with special OP's operation
    • Training
      • Summer course 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM three days a week at the Gloucester County Fire Academy.
      • Gloucester county ambulance training the 4th thurs of the month at 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM every other month at Clayton
  • Old business.
    • Letter from County Ambulance

     

  • New Business
    • Remove Gibbstown and National Park from active status to inactive status.
    • Post guidelines for rehab of fire fighters on the web site.
  • Good of the order
    • UMH - Construction at ER to be complete by Dec 2008.
    • KMH - No report
    • Elmer - Doors at the ER are a problem-must call ahesd by cell phone.
  • Adjournment - S. Harrison made a motion to adjourn and second by Ferral at 20:10
